Render to Reality - Solar Nonwovens

A new workshop is a significant investment for a business, so when planning their new space, it was vital for Solar Nonwovens to ensure it would be designed to support their need for efficient working.

Solar Nonwovens, who is part of the Autins group, is the sole UK manufacturer and sales outlet for the high-performance material, Neptune. Their new workshop services the production line, which turns out a high volume of insulation materials, for a range of industries throughout Europe.

Known for designing efficient workshops, Solar Nonwovens turned to Dura to help them plan their new space. Solar Nonwoven's main priority was to ensure their technicians would be able to meet the demands of the production line.

Solar Nonwovens took advantage of Dura's unique project management service and expertise, starting with planning and design. Dura visualised every detail of the new workshop using 3D renders. It enabled Solar Nonwovens to see how Dura intended to use their range of modular to maximise the space for an efficient workflow.

When designing the space, Dura also took into consideration the type of equipment the technicians use, and how this would increase in the future. With this in mind, Dura integrated large storage cupboards for equipment, tool storage and mobile storage, all of which would further support lean working.

Solar Nonwovens have a well-organised workshop in which their technicians enjoy working. It meets with their expectations for efficient working and increased profitability, as well as supporting the demands of heavy workloads and their growing business.
